A Colourful Affair @ Orchard Central

Hi Huneybees,

If you are in town tomorrow, do drop by Orchard Central for an afternoon of Fashion fun - A Colourful Affair! Here are some photos from last weekend, and my friend Simon Tong snapped the gorgeous photos off the runway...

Orchard Central will be hosting a series of fashion shows starting 31 Mar 2012 onwards for 4 

weekends. 
 
Dates: 31 March, 1, 7, 8, 14, 15, 21 & 22 April 2012
Timing: 3pm & 7pm
Venue: Orchard Central, Discovery Walk 1 (Level 1)
Admission: Open to public

These shows will feature global brands such as Levi’s®, Desigual, Ashley Isham and Dr 

Martens as well as local designers like Blackmarket No. 2, SABRINAGOH, The Reckless Shop 

and many more. Furthermore, there will be areas around the mall for some interesting photo 

taking opportunities. Come by to find out more! 

Psst, there will also be 2 shows featuring special Pets Appearances, on 31 Mar and 22 Apr, at 3pm respectively. 

This will be the first-of-its-kind at Orchard Road, and definitely will be pretty interesting!

VIP Fashion Night - Pangaea

After the long walk, we had a little break at the champagne area and we got a little room all for ourselves. Sipped our champagne and mingled, chatted and rested our little feet...

Pangaea, the world famous ultra-­lounge founded by American nightclub impresario Michael Ault, is housed in the Crystal Pavilion of Marina Bay Sands. They were officially opened in September during the F1 weekend.

Michael Ault is one of the preeminent club operators in the world. Owning more than 20 clubs at New York, The Hamptons, Miami Beach, Los Angeles, Aspen, Bermuda, Sao Paulo, Brazil, and Marbella, Spain.

His famous clubs Pangaea, Spy Bar, Chaos, Tatou, Marc Bar, Privé and Surf Club, combine to create a 20 year track record that is unbeatable.

Guests can expect to have a truly unique experience at Pangaea, incomparable to any other nightspot or disco on the island. For one, Pangaea is an “Ultra-­‐Lounge”, not a discotheque. Renowned for pioneering this concept in the 90’s, Pangaea has become a staple for those that are familiar with its intimate and sophisticated club set, showcasing uniquely designed furniture and custom-made dance tiers within each banquette , make this a club where every inch of the space is literally meant to be danced on. (it's true! The waitress told me, almost every night, the guests would dance on the sofa!)

The interior of the lounge is a super luxe affair with specially designed fittings and furnishings made of visually eye-popping materials and fabrics including genuine zebra, crocodile and ostrich skins, the most exotic woods, and a Pangaea hallmark, Michael’s personal collection of museum-­‐ quality African tribal masks.

I also grabbed a few shots, before we were told no photography is allowed in side, except for the camwhore pictures. :)

Pangaea is a really beautiful place to be in. Drinks are good, music's good, company is good too. Definitely a place for chill out after a hard day's work. It's all about 'primal' fun in here ~

Did I tell you? There's a waitress assigned to 2 tables each, and she will serve only these 2 tables, means better service right? What's more? They are all decked in specially designed Ashley Isham's dresses!

Talk about high fashion and class!

We stayed on for awhile and guess who we saw?! Jen Su and her group of friends were starting their party too! So what it means? Photo time!

Met a new friend, Nicole, on the right. She's so pretty right? And not only that! She's talented!
